I'm not going to lie to you, I let my dog sleep in the bed; he has a spot, I have a spot, the hubs has to find a spot LOL.
According to the study published in the Journal of the International Society of Anthrozoology, women feel more secure and sleep better if the dog sleeps in bed. YUP.
The study collected data from 962 women; 55% shared the bed with a dog, 31% shared with a cat, 57% with a human partner. And what did they find??? Well apparently women who slept with a cat or human partner had disruptive sleep (no surprise people and cats, they just want want they want, sleep where they want to sleep...especially cats. If you know a cuddly cat, please @ me, there must be proof!)
Meanwhile women who slept with their dog in the bed, were less likely to be disrupted during sleep and were "associated with stronger feeling of comfort and security".
There you have it! Next time someone says not to let the dog sleep in your bed; just whip out this article. BAM! Point made!
