PIAA Issues Guidance After Court's Ruling

>>Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Issues Guidance After Court's Ruling

(Williamsport, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association is telling school districts that the governor's limitations on sporting events will remain in place. Yesterday, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stay on Governor Tom Wolf's COVID-19 restrictions after a federal judge ruled his limitations on gatherings unconstitutional. However, Wolf says he is working with school districts and others to recognize the contexts that are different in every community, giving the PIAA some hope for changes to gathering limitations. For the time being the PIAA told schools to consult their solicitors on what to do for spectators at fall sporting events.
