>>Pennsylvania House Bill Proposed To Allow Employees To Refuse Vaccination

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A bill is being proposed to the Pennsylvania House to allow for employees to refuse getting a COVID-19 vaccination. The House Labor and Industry Committee had a public hearing about House Bill 262 yesterday. If passed, the new legislation would make it illegal for employers to fire, threaten or discriminate against employees who refuse to get the vaccine or an invasive medical test. The chair of the committee says there will be more discussions moving forward about the proposal's final form.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Harrisburg City Council member is going to be seeking re-election for her seat this year. Shamaine Daniels announced yesterday that she will be seeking another term in office. Daniels is currently serving her second term and says she will be continuing to work to bring more affordable housing to the city as well as creating a better environment.

>>Twelve-Year-Old Boy Involved In Accidental Shooting Dies

(Swatara Township, PA) -- A 12-year-old boy who was shot in the head after a gun accidentally went off at a home in Swatara Township is dead after spending eleven days in the hospital. Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo confirmed that the boy passed away from his injury yesterday. The accidental shooting happened February 14th at a home in the 2,900-block of Sycamore Street. Officials say that all people involved in the incident are cooperating with investigating officers.

(New Freedom, PA) -- Police are asking the public for help in finding a missing York County woman. Michele Shearer was last seen yesterday morning in New Freedom. Officials say she is possibly driving a black 2013 Ford Explorer with Pennsylvania registration. Anyone with any information is being asked to contact the South Regional Police Department.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Former Harrisburg police officer Jennie Jenkins-Dallas is running for city council. She had been a Community Policing officer until 2016 when she was removed from her position. She said in her announcement she knows how hard it can be to take on a corrupt system and win.

(York, PA) -- Police in York say several recent shootings aren’t connected. The most recent incident was yesterday morning near Newberry and Clark streets, where a 59-year-old was shot during an attempted robbery. It’s believed they have a possible suspect in that incident. Hours earlier, two people were shot on Cleveland Avenue.

(York Haven, PA) -- No one is hurt after a car struck a home in York Haven Thursday. It happened near Pleasant Drive and Cedar Drive, with the vehicle striking propane tanks in the process. The driver was taken into custody for DUI.

>>Police Warn Of Social Security Scam Calls

(Lancaster, PA) -- Northern Lancaster Police are warning the public about a Social Security scam. A caller says they are Detective Scott Wilson with a Social Security office near the Mexican border, adding that their social security card and credit cards were found at a crime scene in Texas. The scammer eventually says they need to get the target’s bank information to resolve the issue.

>>Adams County Mass COVID-19 Vaccination Site Announced

(Gettysburg, PA) -- Adams County officials are confirming their mass COVID-19 vaccination site’s location. It’s at the Adams County Emergency Services center on the 200-block of Greenamyer Lane. The site will be run by WellSpan, though there’s still no date announced for the site to open.

>>Pre-Trial Hearing Held For Woman Accused Of Killing Her Two Kids

(Reading, PA) -- The lawyer of a woman who is being accused of killing her two children in Berks County is asking the judge to hold her trial elsewhere. A pre-trial hearing was held yesterday for Lisa Snyder, who is being charged for allegedly hanging her two kids in the basement of their home in Albany Township in 2019. Snyder's lawyer filed a motion to have the trial take place in another county, as well as having her tried separately for her charges of having sexual intercourse with an animal. The next hearing in the case is scheduled to be held on April 9th.

>>Crash In Lancaster County Kills Young Boy

(Manheim Township, PA) -- Police are investigating the cause of a car accident in Lancaster County that claimed the life of an eleven-year-old boy. The crash happened Tuesday night in the eleven-hundred-block of Lititz Pike in Manheim Township. Police say two vehicles collided head-on after one car accidentally crossed over into oncoming traffic. Four people involved in the accident were transported to the hospital, but an eleven-year-old passenger later died from their injuries. Anyone with any information on the accident is being asked to contact the Manheim Township Police Department.

>>Four Suspects Charged For Running Illegal Casino In Reading

(Reading, PA) -- Four people in Berks County are being charged for allegedly running an illegal casino operation. David Scott Hutchinson and Nahyun Hutchinson were arrested yesterday by detectives with the district attorney's office. Both are facing first-degree felony charges of corrupt organizations and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities. Police say they are searching for two other suspects, Sean Sang Lee and Matthew Kyle Shepherd, who are facing similar charges. The criminal charges are being filed after a seven-month investigation resulted in a raid of Windfall Amusements seven-seven-seven Casino in the Kenhorst Plaza shopping center last year.

>>Police Investigating Gunfight In Reading

(Reading, PA) -- Police are investigating a street shootout that happened in Reading. The gunfight happened this past Wednesday afternoon in the one-thousand-block of Marion Street. Police say they arrested an 18-year-old suspect and are currently searching for another suspect who was involved in the shootings. Anyone with any information is being asked to contact Crime Alert Berks County.

>>Statue Honoring Olympic Sprinter To Be Cast In Lancaster

(Lancaster, PA) -- A statue honoring Olympic sprinter Barney Ewell is going to be erected in downtown Lancaster. The Barney Ewell Legacy Committee announced yesterday that it is in the process of commissioning a statue to honor the Lancaster-native. Ewell earned one gold and two silver Olympic medals for sprinting in 1948. He was raised in Lancaster and ran for Penn State University, where he was considered the fastest man in the world at the time.

>>Auburn Lifts Water Advisory

(Auburn, PA) -- Auburn officials are lifting the town's water advisory after suspects vandalized the town's water tower on Sunday. Officials say they found two sets of footprints Sunday morning that led them to discover that the vent on top of the town's water supply tower was torn off, leaving it exposed. Following the discovery, about nine-hundred customers were under a water advisory for about four days while officials tested the water. Yesterday afternoon, officials determined that the water was safe to consume and lifted the advisory, but the vandals have not been identified.
