The 1975 Release 22-Track Opus 'Notes On A Conditional Form'

Reading Festival 2019 - Day One

In April of 2019, Matty Healy said Notes on a Conditional Form was "coming soon." The 1975 shared the album's opening track over the summer, and continued to roll out new music before the album's February 21 release date. A month before NOACF was supposed to drop, the singer confessed it took a long time to physically make a record and pushed the release to April 24. Then, a month before the new release date Healy pushed it back again, because he continued writing and wanted to make sure the final product was something he was happy with. Thankfully, the wait is finally over. More than a year after announcing the album, The 1975 released NOCF today (May 22).

The album is a 22-track opus that includes the seven tracks fans have already been able to familiarize themselves with: "Guys,""If You're Too Shy (Let Me Know),“ "Jesus Christ 2005 God Bless America,”“The Birthday Party,”“Me & You Together Song,”“Frail State of Mind,” and “People.”

In addition to the album, The 1975 also shared a lyric video for Healy's love letter to his bandmate, "Guys." The clip features archival footage of the band members as wee lads, giving off major nostalgic vibes.
