Smashing Pumpkins recently wrapped up the North American leg of their Shiny and Oh So Bright tour, which sees the band almost fully reunited and only playing songs from their back catalog (along with some covers). On Friday (September 14), the band announced its next chapter.

On November 16, Smashing Pumpkins are releasing SHINY AND OH SO BRIGHT, VOL. 1 / LP: NO PAST. NO FUTURE. NO SUN. on frontman Billy Corgan's own Martha's Music under exclusive license to Napalm Records. The album will be the first in 18 years to feature founding members Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin, with longtime guitarist Jeff Schroeder. It was recorded by legendary producer Rick Rubin at Shangri La Studios.

Along with the album announcement, the band also released a new song called "Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts)" by way of lyric video featuring Corgan's handwritten lyrics.
